Mission Condo Guide
A historic mission village on the Elbow River, with 4 Street SW's cafés and patios.
Condos in Mission
Mission began as an Oblate Catholic mission on the Elbow River in 1875, was incorporated as the village of Rouleauville in 1899 and was annexed by Calgary in 1907. Today 4 Street SW's restaurants and shops run through the middle, and its condo market of about 2,000 units mixes 1950s–80s walk-ups and towers with 2000s mid-rises.

What to watch for in Mission
Mission was one of the first communities flooded and evacuated when the Elbow rose in June 2013, and some buildings had groundwater seepage, so check ground-floor and below-grade units and the building's flood history. Older walk-ups may lack elevators and in-suite laundry.
