Getting Around

How far is Beltline from…

Approximate straight-line distance from the neighbourhood centre; travel distance is longer.

Lifestyle in Beltline

17 Avenue SW is the main strip of restaurants, bars and shops, nicknamed the Red Mile during the Flames' 2004 playoff run. Central Memorial Park, which the City calls its oldest park, sits in the middle of the district, and on the east side Stampede Park, the expanded BMO Centre (2024) and the new Scotia Place arena, targeted to open in fall 2027, anchor Victoria Park.

Beltline condo buildings

The widest choice of condo towers in the city: 1960s–80s concrete high-rises and walk-ups, and 2000s and 2010s glass towers, many of 25 to 40-plus storeys, such as The Guardian's two 44-storey towers, Nuera, Vetro and Mark on 10th. Nearly 60% of units are in buildings from 2000 or later.

Transit & CTrain

Victoria Park/Stampede (Red Line) on its east side, with the 7 Avenue downtown stations a short walk north and Erlton/Stampede to the south. Green Line: a surface route along 10 Avenue to a new station at 10 Avenue and 2 Street SW was endorsed in September 2026; no opening date has been set for that section. Transit Score 80 and Bike Score 90 out of 100.

What to watch for in Beltline

Nightlife on 17 Avenue, playoff crowds and Stampede bring noise, so units a block or two off the strip are quieter. Construction around Scotia Place and Victoria Park will continue to at least fall 2027. Parts of the Beltline and Victoria Park flooded in June 2013, so ask about parkade and mechanical-room flood protection, especially near the Elbow.
